Tryouts
for the 2014 Spring Team are coming up very soon. Tryouts will be
held in both gyms at CHHS. The times listed below are tryout START times, not arrival times. Players should arrive early so
that they can stretch and get warmed up. We are on a tight schedule
and if they are not ready to go at start time, they will NOT be able to tryout. No parents are to attend tryouts.
ELIGIBILITY You
must verify your player’s eligibility before coming to tryouts.
Eligibility requirements can be found on the UHSAA website at www.uhsaa.org. Academic eligibility is: minimum GPA is 2.0 and no more than 1 "F" on their 2nd Qtr report card (not cumulative GPA). All 9th grade players MUST present a 2nd Qtr
report card (HARD COPY) on the first day of tryouts. You will not be
allowed to tryout if this GPA & other grade requirements are not met
and/or you do not provide a copy. –NO EXCEPTIONS. This is your
responsibility to verify all eligibility PRIOR to tryouts.
TRYOUT CHECKLIST Your player MUST have a Tryout Checklist. Complete,
sign and bring to first day of tryouts or you will NOT be eligible to

DISCLOSURE
If you have not already done so, read and sign the attached 2014 disclosure statement in the email that was sent out and return the last page with your player to tryouts. If you are unsure if we have a signed copy, please email Booster club and they will verify. The disclosure outlines required and optional fees that will be due by March 4th for those selected for the team. If you have not raised funds you will be responsible for payment in full of all optional fees (if applicable). The required fees are paid directly to the school and cannot be covered by fundraising.

PHYSICALS
Although
a physical is not required to tryout, it is required once a player is
chosen for a High School team and before they can play. Historically
RPT has had a courtesy day to perform physicals for our players AFTER
tryouts. However, this year they are scheduled to come on Wednesday, February 19th @ 6:00pm at
the school. If you choose to take advantage of this option ($25 Cash)
it does not influence your player’s chances of making the team either
way and no refunds will be provided should your player not make the
team. You must bring FORM A completed and signed by a parent to give
consent to RPT ( click to download Form A
They will then turn in the form to Coach Morgan. If you choose to get a
physical elsewhere, you will need to have FORM A completed by both a
parent and the physician and returned to us by March 6th (an
option may be to schedule an appointment with your family Doctor for the
week after tryouts and cancel if a physical is not needed). We
apologize for the inconvenience, but are at the mercy of their
schedule. If you have already completed a physical for this school year
and the athletic director has one on file, you will need to complete
FORM B instead and turn in after tryouts.
